I believe this Conference, which is carried out biennially, has paved the way for greater interaction, intellectual discourse and understanding among participants on development administration and planning at the Divisional and District levels. It is also heartening to note that the programme held for the past two days has provided a venue for dissemination and exchange of useful information, knowledge and experience among participants encompassing various topics related to planning, implementation, monitoring and development administration.

SMIs: Going for Quality Seminar on Best Practices

“SMIs must change with time and change fast in order to compete with countries like China. We need to find our niches and the areas where we can compete with other counties,” stated YB Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr. George Chan Hong Nam, Deputy Chief Minister, Minister of Finance & Public Utilites, and Minister of Industrial Development, Sarawak, during his speech at the Seminar on Best Practices.
