Sebagai satu langkah strategik untuk meningkatkan keupayaan dan prestasi Perkhidmatan Awam Negeri Sarawak (PANS) sebagai jentera Kerajaan Negeri yang moden dan terkini, satu ekspo kerjaya dengan tema “Be Part of the Winning Team” telah dirancang dan dianjurkan UNIMAS pada 29 Disember 2005 yang lalu.

The current annual consumption in Sarawak for milk (mostly milk powder) is 12,000 metric tonnes, and beef 6,000 metric tonnes. Majority of the dairy products and beef are imported. This translates to a good potential market for locally produced dairy products and beef, in which the state government is working to boost in Sarawak and eventually reduce the import bills of the state.

Cut Red Tapes, Lessen Corruption Says PM

Bureaucratic red tape and corruption hinder businesses and hamper economic growth.That is a fact. A fact consistently and continuously addressed by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, YAB Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi. “There is no excuse for agencies not to have an efficient delivery system as the government has invested greatly in providing them with up-to-date technology and office automation,” he expressed.

Integriti dalam Perkhidmatan Awam Negeri Sarawak

Bagi penjawat awam, integriti bermaksud melaksanakan amanah dan kuasa yang dipertanggungjawabkan menurut kepentingan umum. Penjawat jawatan itu tidak boleh menyalahgunakan kuasanya untuk kepentingan diri, keluarga, saudara mara atau kaum kerabat sendiri.

Teach Good Toilet Etiquette From Young

Everyone knows the young are impressionable and it is critical to cultivate good habits at an early age. This is one of the methods employed by the Sibu Toilet Council (STC) in its initiative to improve toilet hygiene and maintenance in Sibu. Applying a two-pronged approach, STC will tackle both the young and old – first, getting adult users to change to better toilet habits; and second, teaching good toilet habits to children from primary to secondary schools.

Long Lama Celebrates its 100th Years in Harmony 100

Long Lama town celebrated its 100 th years in existence (1905 – 2005), late October this year. The auspicious celebration was indeed the proudest moment of the various ethnic people of Long Lama, especially for the Orang Ulu and the Chinese community there. Various activities were organized in conjunction with the celebration such as ‘white water rafting’, power boat/speed boat race, radio-controlled boat race, paddling competition, and also cultural performance night of Orang Ulu ‘ ngajat’ accompanied by the captivating sound of ‘ sape’ as well as a unique Orang Ulu dance called ‘ datun julut’.
